1. The Service
Schedule Engine provides web and mobile tools for service businesses, including scheduling, jobs, visits, customer records, requests, quotes, invoices, payments records, provider coordination, reporting, reminders, messaging, push notifications, and automation features. The service includes the hosted web application, iPhone and iPad application, backend systems, support tools, and related product features.
2. Business Use and Eligibility
Schedule Engine is intended for businesses and their authorized representatives. By creating an account or using the service, you represent that you are authorized to use Schedule Engine for the business account you create or join, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you will use the service only for lawful business purposes.
3. Account Owner and Team Users
The business owner or billing contact controls the business workspace, subscription selection, invited users, permissions, account deletion requests, and billing decisions. Team members receive access through the business workspace and inherit the business owner's subscription status. The business owner is responsible for invited users, keeping access current, removing users who should no longer have access, and ensuring users comply with these terms.
4. Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials, devices, email access, and account sessions. Notify support promptly if you believe an account, device, or credential has been compromised. We may require identity, ownership, or billing verification before making account ownership, deletion, or recovery changes.
5. Trial Access
Schedule Engine may provide a free 14-day trial without requiring payment at signup. Trial access is controlled by our server records and may end when the trial period expires, when the account is canceled or deleted, or when abuse or security concerns require restriction. When the trial expires, continued access to paid features requires an active subscription or other approved entitlement.
6. Subscription Plans
Paid plans may include Starter, Pro, Max, or other plans shown in the app or website. Plan features, usage limits, included users, automation features, support levels, prices, and availability may change over time. If you upgrade, downgrade, cancel, or change plans, access to some features, limits, data views, automations, or legacy pricing may change.
7. Website and Online Billing
Some existing Schedule Engine customers may have purchased or may manage a subscription through the Schedule Engine website or an online billing provider. Those subscriptions can be used to access the same business workspace across supported platforms. The iPhone and iPad app does not require users to leave the app to purchase a Schedule Engine subscription; subscriptions started inside the iOS app are offered through Apple In-App Purchase.
8. iPhone and iPad Billing Through Apple
Subscriptions started inside the iPhone or iPad app are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment collection, renewal, cancellation, refund review, and payment method management for App Store subscriptions. App Store subscription pricing, duration, and renewal terms are displayed by Apple before purchase. Use Restore Purchases in the iOS Billing screen to reconnect an eligible App Store purchase to a Schedule Engine business account.
9. Avoiding Duplicate Subscriptions
A business should not maintain duplicate Schedule Engine subscriptions through both website billing and Apple billing for the same workspace. If a business already has an active website subscription, the iOS app may show subscription status as read-only. If a business has an active Apple subscription, online checkout may be blocked for that business. Contact support if you believe the wrong business or Apple ID is connected to a subscription.
10. Renewals, Cancellation, Refunds, and Account Deletion
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal under the applicable billing provider's rules. Canceling a subscription generally preserves access until the end of the paid period unless a refund, chargeback, policy issue, or abuse restriction applies. Deleting a Schedule Engine account or business workspace does not cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Apple subscriptions must be canceled through Apple Subscriptions. Refunds for Apple subscriptions are handled by Apple. Refunds or credits for website subscriptions are handled according to the online billing provider, applicable law, and any written support decision.
11. Customer Invoice Payments
Schedule Engine may help your business create invoices, record payments, or accept payments from your customers for real-world services such as cleaning, plumbing, landscaping, repairs, maintenance, or other field services. Those customer payments are not payments for Schedule Engine digital features. Your business is responsible for the goods or services sold to your customers, taxes, refunds, disputes, customer communications, and payment processor compliance.
12. User Content and Business Data
You retain responsibility for customer records, job details, quotes, invoices, photos, messages, notes, files, pricing, schedules, provider data, and other content entered into Schedule Engine. You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and legal basis needed to submit and use that content. You grant Schedule Engine the permission needed to host, process, transmit, display, back up, secure, and use that content to provide and improve the service.
13. Privacy and Data Processing
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information. By using Schedule Engine, you agree that we may process account, business, customer, billing, technical, support, communication, automation, and device-permission data as described in the Privacy Policy and as needed to operate the service.
14. Messaging, Notifications, and Automations
If you use messaging, reminders, push notifications, AI Employee, or automation features, you are responsible for message content, recipient permissions, timing, legal compliance, and review of automated outputs. Automation and AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed before relying on them for business, billing, scheduling, safety, or customer commitments.
15. Acceptable Use
You may not use Schedule Engine to violate laws, send spam or unlawful messages, process data you do not have permission to use, harass or deceive people, interfere with the service, probe or bypass security, reverse engineer the app, scrape data, resell access without written permission, upload malicious code, misuse payment features, or use the service in a way that harms users, customers, providers, Apple, Stripe, Supabase, infrastructure providers, or Schedule Engine.
16. Third-Party Services
Schedule Engine depends on third-party services such as Supabase, Stripe, Apple, email providers, push notification providers, map providers, AI providers, hosting providers, and payment processors. Your use of third-party features may also be governed by those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy decisions, declined payments, App Store review outcomes, payment processor disputes, maps results, message carrier behavior, or third-party account restrictions.
17. Service Availability and Changes
We work to keep Schedule Engine reliable, but the service may be unavailable because of maintenance, hosting issues, network failures, third-party outages, security incidents, migrations, product changes, or events outside our control. We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features, plans, integrations, limits, or access paths as the product evolves.
18. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if payment fails, a trial expires, a subscription expires, a chargeback or refund removes entitlement, account ownership is disputed, required verification is not provided, security risk exists, law requires it, or these terms are violated. You may stop using the service at any time, but subscription cancellation must be completed through the applicable billing provider.
19. Intellectual Property
Schedule Engine, including its software, design, workflow logic, documentation, branding, templates, automation behavior, and service content, is owned by Schedule Engine or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service for your business while your account is allowed to access it. No ownership of Schedule Engine software or branding is transferred to you.
20. Confidentiality
You may receive non-public product, pricing, security, support, beta, or business information through Schedule Engine. You agree to use reasonable care to protect non-public information and not disclose it except as needed for lawful business use of the service or as required by law.
21. Disclaimers
Schedule Engine is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly secure, or fit for every business process. You are responsible for reviewing schedules, invoices, messages, automations, payment records, and customer-facing communications before relying on them.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Schedule Engine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, business interruption, data loss, payment disputes, customer disputes, or third-party service failures. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited to the amount you paid to Schedule Engine for the service during the three months before the claim arose.
23. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold Schedule Engine harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your business operations, customer services, user content, invoice payments, taxes, employee or contractor activity, violation of these terms, violation of law, or misuse of the service.
24. Apple-Specific Terms
For the iPhone and iPad app, Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for providing the service or support. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple-specific portions of these terms and may enforce them as applicable. Your use of the iOS app must also comply with Apple's App Store terms and any rules Apple applies to subscriptions, refunds, family sharing, restoration, and account management.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When changes are material, we may provide notice in the app, by email, on the website, or through another reasonable method. Continued use of Schedule Engine after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
